Khalid Berjak

Meet Khalid Berjak, founder and partner of Berjak Law. Khalid is a formidable advocate, a shrewd negotiator, and an intelligent legal researcher with a broad range of legal experience. He has successfully run full trials, appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and represented clients in various alternative dispute resolution forums.

Khalid’s practice is multifaceted, combining both litigation and transactional work. Khalid represents clients in personal injury matters, where his reputation for strategic preparation and skilled negotiation ensures fair outcomes and, when necessary, strong courtroom advocacy.

Khalid also has a significant practice in real estate—both residential and commercial—where he guides individuals, families, and businesses through purchases, sales, financing, leasing, and development.

Khalid is also experienced in business law, where he assists entrepreneurs and corporations with structuring deals, drafting contracts, closing transactions, and navigating the legal complexities of their operations. Khalid’s insight into both law and business has earned him board positions in automotive, construction, and development companies.

Khalid’s dual experience in litigation and solicitor work gives him a distinctive edge—his courtroom insight informs how he structures deals to avoid future disputes, while his transactional knowledge equips him to resolve conflicts with practical, business-minded solutions.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Khalid has spent his entire post-education journey at the University of Alberta. Khalid’s mission is to rebalance the scales of Justice for the Edmonton community that raised him.

Besides fighting for Edmontonian’s rights, Khalid volunteers as a basketball coach at his former junior high school. Further, Khalid enjoys sharpening his mind and body, by reading and working out in his spare time. Khalid also enjoys spending generous time with his family and friends.
